This is an example of a Zoomorphic statue mythical statue. When we were in Mali, we were told that it's
called a "Wara-su" . If we recall, it's a bambara term which means a mixture of a lion and horse. It
appears to have a mane and a tail. It measures 19 inches tall by 20 inches wide.
