We were very fortunate during our stay in Mali to meet Nakunte Diarra and her son Bindé. We visited their home in
Kolokani, Mali and they stayed with us on various occasions at our home in Bamako, Mali. Nakunte is considered the
"grand dame" of mudcloth artists. Her work is displayed at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC. as well as
various museums and collections throughout the world. The one of a kind mudcloth items below were created by Nakunte
and her son. 100% cotton. (We also have kuba cloth.)
